VISHNULOKA - A WALKTHROUGH INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE
SPRING 2023
SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART & DESIGN
This project is a thesis design proposal for a themed walk-through visitor attraction based on one of the most significant deities in the Hindu pantheon, Lord Vishnu, and his ten avatars. The aim of the thesis is to create an engaging and immersive experience that focuses on bringing the forgotten culture of the Hindu mythology of Lord Vishnu together with the themed entertainment setting. The thesis outlines the conceptual framework for the project allowing the guests to explore different shrines educating and entertaining with the stories of each avatar. While this project focuses on a specific site, the core design themes can be translated to future expansions through pop-up exhibitions and technology based on augmented reality.
